What's Happening This Week??
11/10 - 11/14
11/10/14 - Today we will begin to look at the role of immigration in increasing cities' populations at the beginning of the 1900s. We will determine where they came from as well as how they were treated and lived when they got here.
11/11/14 - Veterans' Day - NO SCHOOL!!
11/12/14 - Today's focus will be on Ellis Island in New York City. We will watch video clips documenting its history and how it was used in the late 1800s. As we are watching, we will be writing down information that will be used in class tomorrow when we create our "Life of an Immigrant Family" comic strip.
11/13/14 - Today we will review our notes from yesterday's video on Ellis Island and begin creating our comic strip on the life of an immigrant family coming to America. This will be due tomorrow!!
