What's Happening This Week??
3/31 - 4/4
3/31 - Today we will begin our unit on World War II. Our first look will be at the rise of dictator is in Europe during the 1930s. We will look at Mussolini in Italy, Hitler in Germany, Stalin in Russia, and General Tojo in Japan. We will also define what fascism is.
4/1 - Today we will focus on Hitler's rise to power in Germany. We will look at how and why it happened, as well as why the rest of the world allowed it to happen. We will watch a short video on Hitler's youth and rise to power, and then create a newsarticle/ interview with him or another dictator from yesterday questioning their motives.
4/2 - Today we will define the term appeasement and how this was a cause of World War II. We will pay special attention to the Munich Agreement of 1938 through power point and video, and analyze why it happened.
4/3 - Today we will create a cluster chart detailing all the causes of World War II. We will also look at Germany's Invasion of Poland in 1939 and how the world reacted through video and notes.
4/4 - Today we will look at the beginnings of the war, focusing on Germany's march to Paris through Denmark and Holland, as well as the responses from England and France.
