Week 2: 9/3 - 9/5
9/2/13 - After our nice, long weekend, we will finish up our review of the Civil War and Reconstruction by looking at the successes and failures of the Reconstruction in the South. We will finish our notes and then begin to work on a news article on the Reconstruction which will be due on Thursday!
9/3/13 - Today we will study the variety of Native American tribes living in the United States during the 1800s. We will watch a Brain Pop video on it and take notes, as well as another video that details the daily lives of Native Americans in the U.S. After that, students will be given a research sheet to complete by Friday on a Native American tribe.
9/4/14 - Today we will begin studying Ch. 19 in our Social Studies textbook on Americans' movement West. We will first take a pre-test on information in this chapter to see what we already know, and from there, we will begin reading Ch. 19, Section 1 together as a class, and take Cornell notes.
9/5/13 - Current Events! Today we will be looking at video and reading articles together on what ISIL is and how it affects Americans.
