What's New This Week??
4th Quarter
Week of 3/23 - 3/27
This week we will begin our next writing unit, research. We will first discuss how to properly select a topic, and then from there, write a thesis statement. Later in the week we will begin discussing how to research using not just the internet, but books and magazines as well. Finally in grammar, we will look at prepositions.
Week of 3/30 - 4/2
This we will work in the computer lab and media center gathering sources for our research project. Our goal will be to have at least 5 source cards completed by Thursday! We will also define and utilize our Unit 14 vocabulary throughout the week.
Week of 4/13 - 4/17
This week's focus is on generating note cards for our research. We will be in the lab Monday and Friday, and the other days in class, we will use the information we printed out to continue creating our note cards. We will also make sure our project outline is completed!!
Week of 4/20 - 4/24
This week we will begin the rough drafts of our projects, no matter what form they are, as well as work on our outlines and works cited pages!
